Serco-NA is seeking a motivated individual to provide programmatic support to one of our NAVSEA clients. Serco-NA has an opening for a Technical Division Liaison and Mentor with submarine experience to support an active contract with the US Navy in the Groton, CT area.
General tasks
Support the PMS
- 50C Groton Connecticut Electric Boat Dock as Deputy Chief of Materiel and Readiness for Submarine Group 2 and Pre-Deployment Submarine Crew.
- Be part of a team that provides operational and consultative mentorship for New Construction VIRGINIA class submarines using prior experience and knowledge of new submarine construction processes and crew training and certification requirements.
- Liaising with Shipbuilding and Electric Boat Supervisor and Newport News, Prime Contractors, Program Executive Office - Submarines and other key stakeholders for support and readiness of new construction submarine crew.
- Support building, training and mentoring new submarine crews from the ground up. Mentor and support leadership in the development of submarine processes to ensure effective training, personnel qualification, maintenance and operations.
Qualifications:
- Education and required/preferred work experience:
- Required: Active Secret clearance and US citizenship considered.
Required:
- Successful tour as Chief of Design on a VIRGINIA class submarine.
- Required: 5-10 years of program/project management experience on submarines.
- Required: Excellent engagement skills and excellent communication with sailors and fleet managers. Mandatory: 10% of travel.
- Desired: Experience working with Submarine Program Office and/or TYCOM staff. Company Introduction:
