The Regional Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining and expanding existing business relationships for one or more departments, product lines, market segments and acquiring new business from prospects in various industries including: Food and Beverage, Chemical, Industrial, Agricultural, Metal Finishing. . , lab and more.
To be successful in this position, you must have previous experience in prospecting customers through cold calling, generating new leads and opportunities, developing leads for marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to build strong relationships with new and existing clients from first contact to closing. You also ensure proper after-sales service. Responsibilities of the seller:
- Ask established and potential customers to create demand for laboratory instruments.
- Document calls and results as needed.
- Discusses customer needs, problems or complaints and arranges meetings between customers or potential customers and representatives of various business areas of the company and builds long-term confidential relationships with our customers.
- Create a list of prospects based on their chosen market to schedule meetings.
- Track leads from trade shows, marketing campaigns, website and other sources. Use competitive knowledge and product knowledge to increase market share through our product positioning.
- Help increase sales of general and other specialty products in the sales territory by answering incoming calls.
- Contact potential customers through cold calls and emails while identifying customer needs and recommending our appropriate products/services.
- Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction.
- Assists in the implementation and coordination of the company-wide business development search program.
- Represents the company at various fairs and community events. The possibility of growing into an outside sales representative in the future.
Sales knowledge and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related discipline
- 1-2 years of work experience in customer service and sales
- Ability to read and understand technical articles related to the applications of our products
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and professional email correspondence
- Ability to work in a team and fast and efficient
- Must be willing to travel up to 10%. Proven work experience as a domestic trade representative
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calling)
- Experience working with CRM software is a plus
- Expertise in food, beverage, industrial, education, laboratory, water and wastewater industries is a plus
