Obsidian is a fully licensed lender licensed in 32 states with 350 licensed loan officers, and we are looking to double our workforce by 2023. The ideal candidate is an experienced or even newly licensed loan officer who is ambitious, entrepreneurial and wants to grow their community. helping borrowers achieve their dreams of home ownership or even use their home equity for improvements or supplemental income.
Our loan officers are offered the opportunity to work as a lender or broker, earning maximum compensation with minimum commissions in the wholesale/brokerage channel. The maximum wholesale compensation is 2.75. In the correspondence, you can see what you are doing. Each loan servicer is assigned an experienced loan servicer to manage your loan and communicate with your borrower so you can focus on your process. In addition, new lenders can choose to have a regional manager act as a mentor for their loans.

Our requirements:
- You must have an active NMLS license in your state of residence. Must be licensed in at least one of the 32 states where Obsidian is licensed
- 2 years of experience in lending, sales and marketing
- You must be self-motivated and able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Must be able to calculate income and understand income documents
- You must attend weekly lending and product training webinars
- Must be clear and concise
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
