Director, AI/HPC System Design Responsibilities
- Build next-generation AI/HPC architectures to maximize system performance and reliability
- Develop and implement multi-year roadmaps for AI/HPC systems with a focus on prototyping new AI/HPC systems for various potential workloads
- Develop and implement a recruitment strategy to enable the team to achieve its goals
- Mentor and develop the engineering team for their long-term career growth
- Stay up to date on trends in the AI/HPC systems industry
- Provide effective feedback to cross-functional teams and act on feedback received
- Lead schedule-based, internal or external multi-partner initiatives.

Minimum requirements
- Master's/PhD degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or BS and 8 years related experience
- Experience in troubleshooting and producing solutions for large and complex systems
- Learn about distributed deep learning systems and parallel machine learning workloads
- Knowledge of industry technology trends and technologies applicable to Meta
- Familiarity with domain specific accelerators such as DPUs, AI accelerators, etc
- The management experience is an ambiguous and fast-paced environment
- Organization, communication and coordination experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of GPU programming (eg Cuda) and/or performance validation
- Familiarity with accelerator broadband interfaces (eg NVLink, XGMI).
- Knowledge of architectural trade-offs in board design, high-speed signal integrity, bus architecture, rack design and network topology
- Experience comparing distributed deep learning systems and parallel machine learning workloads
- Experience in performance testing and evaluation of prototype platforms
- Experience debugging logic analyzers, telescopes, gauges, etc. lab systems.
- Basic information about chip architecture, µarchitecture and design
- Strength in mathematics, numerical modeling, stochastic processes and optimization techniques
- Knowledge of FPGA hardware configuration (SerDes, voltage, etc.)
- Proficiency in C, C and/or Python
