The position of Fair Lending Analyst at CMG is unique in the financial world because it combines an analyst and an advocate. They coordinate with people across the organization to bring about the change they want to see in the financial world. They have a clear vision based on data, culture, passion and experience. - Origination: Application, Disclosure, Processing, Assignment, Closing, Funding
- Marketing: web, social, print, outreach

- Maintenance: damage mitigation, orientation, complaint resolution
- A fair loan analysis requires a thorough understanding of ECOA, the Fair Housing Act, and related mortgage industry compliance requirements. Fair loan analysis also requires a solid foundation for basic statistical analysis. Experience using graphing functions in Microsoft Excel is critical to performing red-line estimates.
- The analyst should have sufficient experience in credit obligations to perform matching analysis and use professional writing skills to support decision making.

Main focus:
- Honest credit analysis and reporting
- Standard and ad hoc regulatory reporting
Basic Responsibilities:
- Analyze business application, deposit, pricing, marketing and partner data to help CMG deliver unparalleled service to its candidates and clients
- Coordinate with staff and management across all areas of the organization (marketing, operations, risk, maintenance) to better understand internal processes, develop and record improvement recommendations or recognition opportunities.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Maintenance, Accounting, Licensing, External Audit and Marketing to analyze existing policies, practices and procedures related to fair lending and regulatory reporting.
- Apply applicable federal laws and mortgage requirements (eg, Fair Housing, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, etc.) to analysis
- Full fair loan analysis on a case-by-case basis (marketing, pricing, insurance, charges, extensions, matching pairs, regression, etc.)
- Make recommendations to expand ratings and/or operational and marketing efforts as they relate to fair lending
- Adhere to business continuity principles by documenting processes and monitoring projects proactively and consistently in collaboration with the team
Other requirements:
- At least 7 years of experience in the mortgage industry (origination, servicing, underwriting), including at least 2 years in compliance-related positions (some underwriting or quality control experience preferred)
- Experience with a mortgage-based lending system (preferably experience with Byte Pro)
