Stantec's Environmental Services practice is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support Cultural Resources and Paleontology Resources. The position location is flexible in Southern California, based on the office of your choice, and allows remote work from a home office or flexible office/home office. The Project Manager is a key member of the Southern California Cultural and Paleontology Technical Resources team, supporting both disciplines, and is an important part of our growing diverse team of archaeologists, architectural historians, paleontologists, and historians.

Main tasks
- Oversight and implementation of interdisciplinary culture/paleontological resource projects (large and small).
- Work with subject matter experts to identify team members for projects you lead
- Guide your team members to successfully execute projects from proposal to project completion
- Manage projects, expectations and budgets
- Provide accurate and timely project billing and invoicing
- Engage, collaborate, coordinate with your customers and retain customers
- Facilitates compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the National Environmental Policy Act and other regulatory frameworks of various agencies
- Collaborate with subcontractors, other project managers and subject managers, and on multidisciplinary project teams
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with federal, state and tribal agencies
- Participate in proposal and budget preparation
- Provide quality control/quality control of results
- This position may require travel. Qualifications
Your own abilities and powers:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of environmental policies and regulations (e.g. CEQA, NEPA)
- Knowledge of all aspects of paleontological and cultural resource management (exploration, salvage, laboratory analysis, research, reporting)
- Strong professional technical writing, problem solving and communication skills
- Supports new ideas and initiatives and creates an environment that supports creativity and innovation. Self-awareness of technical and/or professional skills and ability to judge when specialist assistance is needed
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in project implementation
- Ability to communicate safety information to field personnel and coordinate field time needs with the larger Cultural and Paleontological Resources team.
- Knowledge of field data collection equipment such as GPS and the Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) collector and survey 1-2-3. Geographic Information System and#

- Good driving experience and a valid driver's license are required
