- Create program vision, develop program strategy and lead execution to achieve program goals including device design identification, technical development, manufacturing development, time to market, COGS, aftermarket service requirements, etc.
- Lead advanced development (incubation) efforts. technology and development team: define the vision, mission and long-term work strategy, make strategic and operational decisions, ensure implementation according to goals and schedules.
- Communicate strategy, project goals and rationale to broad audiences in planning and management teams, manage supplier engagement and create future opportunities.
- Provide leadership and oversight across project phases, including research through technology transfer to product, opportunity identification/quantification/analysis, planning, budgeting, key partnerships, project execution and production preparation.
- Communicate with other groups such as marketing, sales and users to determine implementation requirements and/or necessary changes.
- Manage cross-functional project teams for critical products
- Recruit new talent to the team and effectively retain existing ones
