As a remote customer service representative, you will work from home and be responsible for your own success and proactively support our customers. Our organization is committed to growing, developing and supporting the development of the scientific community.
What we are looking for:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or GED required; Master's degree A plus
- Experience: 1-3 years of applicable experience in a customer relationship type role (sales, military, call center, etc.) Intermediate computer skills required; must be able to work on multiple systems simultaneously using multiple screens.
- Collaboration Tool: Experience with Salesforce, SAP or other CRM tool is a plus.
Who are you:
- Retains and attracts leads by handling incoming sales and customer communications (calls/emails/click-to-chat) related to service status or network issues/concerns/problems. You will be responsible for managing inbound sales and customer communications (calls/emails/click-chat) to process, expedite and resolve customer orders.
- Own the customer's desire and experience from start to finish, including full tracking of open issues.
- Handle all customer requests via computer. Use multiple and often complex systems, programs and monitors to examine data.
- Researches and resolves customer issues, expedites back orders, handles returns and special requests. Resolves product or service issues by resolving a customer complaint; determine the cause of the problem; choose and explain the best solution to solve the problem; expedite repair or adjustment; next steps to ensure a solution.
- Interacts proactively with outside sales personnel to ensure regular communication regarding pricing and other customer issues. Provides quality, high-quality service that is closely linked to sales, enabling sales growth.
- Follow up on any outstanding issues with sales, suppliers and customers.
- Looking for opportunities to provide solutions. Makes recommendations on areas for process development.
- Make decisions based on convention and history, and ask for guidance when needed.
- Responsible for performance metrics such as schedule adherence, productivity standards and quality standards.
- Performs other duties as directed.
