Boss Fight is looking for a talented animator to join our team of artists. In this role, you will work closely with the rest of the animation team to create 2D animations for Spine's characters, environments and other various game objects/FX using traditional animation principles.
Key Functions/Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality 2D animations for game objects, characters and environments, as well as VFX
- Animate by knowing the traditional principles of encouragement
- Assist the visual development process by creating purposeful animations
- Maintain current and working knowledge of mobile 2D animation trends and best practices
- Demonstrate reliability, accountability and professionalism in all work-related interactions
Skills and Abilities:
- Self-motivated and ready to create high quality games
- Communicates effectively both in writing and verbally
- Works well in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
- Well organized and helps others organize
- Great attention to detail
- You can manage multiple tasks and be self-directed
- A positive attitude and the ability to receive and give objective and constructive feedback
- A balanced combination of visual aesthetics and technical art/programming skills
Education and experience:
- 3 years of experience in similar positions
- Knowledge of Photoshop and Spine and After Effects
- Experience in buying houses
- Familiarity with Unity, C# and Maya scripting including Mel scripts, Python, PyMel and/or Maya API
